Real Superheroes

Real Superheroes July 30, 2007 - New York City, New York, U.S. - Bernabe Mendez, aka Spiderman, works as a professional window cleaner in New York and sends $500 a month to his home in the Mexican state of Guerrero. Immigrants have always injected a dose of vitality into the city. These brave and determined men and women somehow manage to withstand extreme labor conditions in order to help their families back home. It is common for a Mexican worker in New York to work extraordinary hours in harsh conditions for very low wages, which are saved at great cost and sacrifice and sent to families and communities in Mexico who rely on them to survive.
