Tsunami Witness Jan. 8, 2005 - Wellawatta, Sri Lanka - E. Jayantha, 43, holds pictures of his daughter and wife while standing amid the ruins of his house. 'I was working as a porter when the tsunami hit. I went to the second floor of a house and i waited until the danger was over and returned to see my house totally destroyed. After three days of looking for my family, a soldier came to my sister's house with these photos. I was relieved with this confirmation, not like others who do not know the fate of their family.'
